A Squared Lifestyle Featured Artist: FULL BLOWN STONE

I met up with the lead guitarist/lead vocalist, Ben Palmer, of the up and coming reggae band, Full Blown Stone yesterday to ask him a few questions and get the word out to local San Diegans, that this is the band to look out for in the near future. Ben, 21, from Santa Cruz, California, started playing in a rock band in 8th grade, but as the story goes, eight years pass, college begins, and the band breaks up. Ben continued to write reggae inspired music based on artists such as Sublime and with SoCal's laid back attitude and beach goer lifestyle, this seemed like the right move forward. Band members include Ben Palmer-lead vocalist and guitarist, Dustin O'Rielly- drummer, and Nick "Nitty" Hein- bass player and Nick Cantelmi - Piano/Guitar/Percussion/Vocals . "Stevie Wonder is probably my favorite singer ever, just the soul passion he puts into his music is great," says Ben. Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin are just a few inspirations that helped root Full Blown Stones music. Getting their name because a friends mom found marijuana after a party he had, Dustin O'Reilly, the drummer of FBS, asked him, "What if your mom actually knew you were a 'full blown stone'?", forgetting to add the "er". Stoner's or not, this music is great to listen to partying with a group of friends, or just sitting at home by yourself. Make sure to check out their new CD, Love Fruit, coming out on iTunes on May 25th. Asquared will be featured in Full Blown Stone's upcoming music video so keep following us for more upcoming Full Blown Stone news. For more information visit their website HERE.
